Pretty sure I'm gonna buy the M6 reps that JLevi is selling. They're recommending Falken FK-452, sizes 245/35/19 and 275/30/19 which are $287 and $435 per tire respectively. Is it just me, or does that seem a bit pricey? Anybody know anything about these Falkens? I typed in these sizes into Tire Rack's search engine and noted that it's not actually possible to spend $435 a tire in that size there!!!
If not the Falkens, what do y'all recommend doing?
Are you looking for good value/price....or brandname and performance?
If value for $, the Fuzion ZRi is a good high-performance tire.
It has good reviews and good ratings.
I've used them on the 540i and was happy with them.

If the ZRi is anything like the HRi, then please don't ...
I have HRi's and the noise they make is unbelievable ... never again.

I have the ZRi's and they really arent too bad, not sure if I would consider them a great performance tire, but for the money they do a pretty good job and they've worn rather well. I would NOT recommend Kuhmos, I had mine for around 15K miles and they were worn out, and not real good performance either.

Oh they're not bad tires, even the HRi which are all-seasons are very predictable and grippy, but my only complaint is the noise level ... it honestly feels like driving on rims.
Welcome to the land of 19" tire expense. It's a big jump from 17's to 19's. That said, I found that 540 to be sensitive to tire inflation and noise, and I'd expect the short sidewalls of nineteens to exacerbate that situation. So I'd recommend against any so-called cheap brands unless you get a warranty where you can return them if they cannot be balanced to your satisfaction.
Unfortunately most noisey tires don't show their stripes until after you've got a few miles on them, so be sure you rotate religiously.
Just my 2 cents. But man oh man am I excited about your getting the M6 replicas!

I'm also fond of Velocity Motoring's "M3 Competition package" replicas too: Jlevi SW
But those M6 rims totally rock too. Probably easier to keep clean.... B)
