Hi folks - I'm new to site and recently purchased an '01 525iT, which I'm very much enjoying. The tires (Conti Sport Contact) should be replaced, so before I replace with same, just wondering if any of you have a strong opinion either way on those, or if another brand is recommeded. The car is used in the Boston area, and I run Blizzaks in the winter, so winter traction is not an issue. I dont drive TOO aggressively (despite our regional reputation) because I usually have kids in the car, but do want a tire that handles well - especially in the rain - and something that will last reasonably long.
Dunlop formula Z1, these are what was fitted to my car new which is now 11 years old and only on my 2nd set, and my car weights in at 2 ton , plus i dont drive slow. We also have snow and ice and loads of rain!!!

I stepped in a plate of Pasta the other day - now I have to worry about my Carbonara footprint!
Thanks for your input, Marti. I've been unable to find those online. Perhaps they are UK-specific. Also, in my post I Stated I had Conti Sport contacts - I meant Conti TOURING Contacts.
