i currently have an e30. but its not exactly what i want, has a riced out look and NEED a change. i've owned two e30's, the first an automatic and then this one. my current one is my DD, but it handles great and is FAST!
now i might potentially trade this car for a e39 98 with a 5sp. has 190k on it.
this is where i need YOUR opinions:
up sides-
more modern
more reliable power from m50
more room under the hood to add turbo
M5 motor would drop right in
heavier, so i can cut weight easy
4dr, more room
down sides:
4dr for looks
HEAVY
i dont think they're too nimble, not compared to e30
lil more ordinary if left stock
almost the same douche level as e36, BUT it bumps into the "classiness" i always associate bmw's with(i like classy)
so how hard would it be to get this 5series into a worthy DD that is both nimble and quick?
My suggestion would be to find a few of this model on dealers lots and test drive them to see how they fit your needs/desires. In the end cars are a very personal item and what fits you might not fit your brother (much like partners ).
Can anyone please let me know if they are selling a camber kit for an e39 im looking to make a purchase! im new to the forum and im always looking for parts as I have 2 97 528i vehicles plz help out! thanx
It's NOT hard to modify the ride... If you want a less spongy experience then get stiffer springs (or bang some assistors on), and maybe replace all the suspension bushes to "Poly"...
