Have a 92 E34 (535i) that I need to replace the suspenion on. I need to know if the suspension parts from an e30 would fit my car. This is a "project car" so its taking me a while to get it all together - little at a time....
But I found a "parts car" that has almost "new" suspension on it - an e30 and I can get those parts really low. A local guy has it and offered them to me at a great price if they work since I know him personally.
u should just go with an aftermarket suspension. if u have the $$ that is. it don't have to be full race or coil overs but check out the bilstien and h&r sets. they handel really good and much better controll.

low on cash....reason i'm trying to find something sorta "cheap" :hides:
was wanting to get a suspension off a donor car since my suspension is basically "shot"
theres a site called myhotbmw.com. check it out. they got good parts and prices. i looked just out of curiousness at shocks for your car. bilstien has them at around 140 each. if u want sport springs h&r has all 4 for 380 + it depends on if u have self-leveling or not.
oh and theres no chance an e36 set is going to fit. the struts and springs r designed to handel the weight of the 3 series your car has more weight to it and probibly more suspension travel so u would be wasting time. go with the bilstiens and if u can the sport springs. that thing will corner very well with that set and still have a smooth ride to it.

i looked at that site "myhotbmw" you suggested but those prices are steep. I was hoping i could find some locally at a little less. i'm sort of low on cash right now, so I don't have a lot of money to sink into my car, but I want to make it "safe", and with the current suspension basically worn out, I need to find something that will work, even if it means OEM replacement or aftermarket OEM type. Maybe later I can find some quality lowering springs with better struts/shocks when I can afford them.
