There is a minor whining and a klik sound of late, in my Bmw 5 SERIES,2005 model when I take sharp turns.The dealer says I need to replace the steering rack and pinion at a exorbitant cost.I am not convinced.The car has done only 65000 kms and is in excellent shape.
Any advise please.Also is it safe to keep driving it if the sounds dont bother me.
