Question strange noise
i have E39 520i 2003 77K km
i have a strange noise on the left side of the engine , some times i feel that i'll cry of it and it sounds like trrrtrrrrtrrrrtrrr and its not valves sound
i changed the tow deflection pulleys but they sound is still coming
so any one can help or had the same problem????????

Dear friends

here u can hear this strange noise
the engine is warm and on idle but it disappear when accelerate and its stronger on the left side of the engine

Is it possible to do a video ? as its hard to know exactly where the noise is emanating from....

finally i found the reason and it was the alternator
now it sounds like a bee.
