Seeing as how I have a salvage yard I have the parts to do a stock conversion. Is it hard to do? Or is it plug and play. I wasnt sure if alot of additional wiring is involved and I wanna do it but dont wanna jump in it without some words of advice from people who have done this conversion. Thanks guys!
You may have problems trying to mount it to the frame. The mounting pattern from the headlights maybe a little different. Pay close attention to one of the brackets. It may have to be turned upside down in order to mount the new headlight.
I upgraded my headlights awhile ago. I bought the kit from Bavauto. One of the things on the instructions was to reverse one of the brackets where the headlight assembly mounts to. The wiring itself should plug and play. You'll get an error message once everything is connected but that's because you have changed the resistance/voltage on the headlights. This is nothing to worry about.
I hope this gives you an idea. Good luck and keep us posted.
