STALLING!!!!!!!

I was driving on a freeway and the car was working perfectly fine. I got to my driveway and the car revved and i thought i accidentally pressed the gas but the car kept revving and eventually stalled. I tryed to start the car again but it would turn off in a matter of seconds. I let it sit for a while and tryed to start it up but it ran for a bit but then stalled again. When I start it up and put it in neutral it will stay running but you have to keep giving it gas. My dad thinks it might be a fuel pump. Does my power loss have to do with this problem ???Does anyone have any ideas???? Thanks!!

Yeah Dude it might be one of the reasons You have that problem, there is many reasons that may cause it, but fuel pump is the most common in my opinion, might be electronic problem as well too....
