What do you guys think I should get first? I'm thinking springs from bavauto, but if there are better alternatives, i'd be interested...looking to spend around 400 bucks, so the chip might come with a set of angel eyes...

ahh, youve come to realize how spectacular this board is when it comes to responding to this kind of post. I dont know how you dont have a chip already, but thats what i'd do first. I have a chip, kn intake(with that debaffled airbox crap which was stupid btw), and triflo exhaust. A 525 is potent, but i have a 535, and the car just plain has too much weight to be a formidable racer, especially in stoplight drag races. The only time our cars shine is on the freeway at cruising speeds, as you'll see that is when your car picks up. I'd go for looks at this point, as 5's just have too much fat. only a v8 lets them go zoom zoom well. Im saving for an m5 engine after i get my suspension.
BTW after all the stuff I've done to my car, my hp is ~230, and tq~245, and i have a 5 speed. These cars just plain were not made to be quick.
I've been thinking about getting some wieght reduction mods when i can...for now i'm driving without a spare tire and pretty much everything I dont need has been removed...spare the toolkit in my trunk. The car is fun as hell on the highway, but it is equally fun on some backroads...it may be a sedan, but it handles like a BMW.
I'd also like to say...dragging is for cameros.

That's quite a change in opinion from your "these cars haul ass" post a while back!
If you can't afford both at the same time (chip or exhaust) go for the exhaust first - It may not be a massive advance in performance (apart from the note it produces) but when you can afford to have it chipped/tuned you can take it to a reputable tuner who will tune/chip it with the exhaust in mind, which will give a bigger improvement from your exhaust. In short do most other engine mods first then get it chipped accordingly - no off the shelf crap.
