My Speedometer on my 1990 525i just start to act up. It doesn't tell me how fast or slow I'm going. Does anyone know what I can do. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Could you be a little bit more detailed?

If Im doing around 20 it jumps to 40, and then it just stays at 0. My fan belt is loose and I'm going to fix that today, so I doubt that has anything to do with my speedometer acting up.

no wonder the cop clocked me at 87 when I was speeding at 90.
