I've got a strange problem!!!! After returning from vacation my 540 runs very rough and won't keep idle.Looking at the engine I found an open vacuum line. When plugging the line with my finger the car runs fine. Does anyone know what it is and what's supposed to be attatched to it? There are NO open lines I can see and I think someone took it out while I was away. Any help would be valuable!!! Thanks everyone
Can you do a pic which is slightly to the Right, as I am sure it connects underneath the ( forgot what its called) black round thing in front of the oil filter housing if you can see what I mean.

I stepped in a plate of Pasta the other day - now I have to worry about my Carbonara footprint!
that part is in the shape of a "T" the bottom of the t connects to the black thing you're talking about. I'll get a pic from the side and post it so someone can narrow it down. Thanx a million for your help!!!! I'm getting an ulcer!!!
Hey thanks alot for the info. I found it out last week. Thought someone took something out while I was away. I wouldn't drive it till I was sure that it was a plug. I almost had a coronary!!
