After setting up Carsoft 6.5.06 on a Lappy with serial port(I got for free from aquaintance on Twitter) Ran diagnostics and cleared a few codes. Didn't touch adaptives and idle became fast at around 700-800rpm. This lasted until last night when it settled back to 500rpm and has remained there. Sweet. I was tearing my hair out trying to find any info on this on the interwebs, to no availe. I now assume Skynet infiltrated our BMW'S around 13 years ago and All unexplained happenings are a result of that. And is there a Guide on the best method to use Carsoft and list of code errors and their meanings anywhere?

Yippy KiYay. Or as its known in OZ "Bonza". Have had sucess in finding "stuff" Thanks to David Mc on the "other" Bimmer site. Have downloaded 2 PDF's today and will grab the others later.
