I have an e36 95 325i engine that I'm selling. A guy in CA wants to know if this will fit in his 91 525i. Will this work? Anything else to be concerned about?
it might work with some harness converting. the 92 525 had a M50 but the motor that you have is a M50TU. which i think is the addition of the vanos on th intake side but i'm not sure of any other diffrences.

The engine will fit, bolt up, etc... but Im not sure how the addition of vanos will react with the computer... hmmm..... wish I could be of more help.
i guess it would work if you had the DME out of the engine that is going into the car. but there might be a need for other components. i don't know how much the DME comunicates with the cluster on those older cars.
