| Help! Looking at a '99 540i, black, one owner, 94,000 miles priced at $18,000. I know owner pretty well, and she says it's been maintained very well at dealer since new.
Has caught some rocks on the hood, so needs a little ding-fixing and paint touch-up. Also, driver side rear door was scratched with a key, and re-finished. I can see a bit of a ripple looking down the side - easy to fix?
Wheels are type 32, 17-inch, 15-spoke. That might mean sport package? How do I tell? Had car last weekend but don't have it any more. I think what I'm reading is if it's a 'sport', the rear wheels are 17 X 9 and fronts are 17 X 8. Anyway, they have a lot of curb rash and two are losing their coating, so I think I want to replace or refinish them - any suggestions?
Interior is kind of 'grimy' - like the leather won't really come clean. I've heard a steam cleaner can lift out the ground in dirt that accumulates over time. Your thoughts?
Overall, looks very nice and rides like a dream. What should I expect for major maintenance coming up, considering the miles -
