Here is my question; Does anyone know for a fact that wheels that are 9.5 wide and 18" diam. with a 35mm offset fit my 2002 5-series e39 both front and back?
Yes they are 74.1 hub bore. I'm not too sure of the offset and the width for the front. My car has stock height, stock brakes and the sport package.
Thanks, Ron
Lord Vader, I like the look of that e39 in the link you supplied. And 19's! Thanks!
Thanks, brettski I'm looking into the offset.
These are the wheels..RUFF RACING® R281 Wheels - Custom R281 Rims
All four, in the 18x9.5 35 offset. Don't know how that equates to fit-met.
Offset is measured from the center of the wheel. Offset is how far the hub sits forward or backwards of the centre. To run wider wheels without rubbing the shock towers you have to have a negative offset. Which most rims with a deep lip are. Most wheels that are flush are positive offsets. The wider the wheel, the more negative you will have to go. And of course fender rolling may be required. As much as I like staggered wheels, for the best handling a square setup (all wheels same width) is the best. My rear wheels are only 0.5" wider in te rear though.
