Ive just bought myself a new shiftknob for my '94 520 and ive been trying to unscrew and pull off and push off the old knob but i dont dare use to much force...has anybody changed the shift knob in an e34? btw...no pin or screw visible

If you have anautomatic with the dogleg style of shifter knob, the set screw is on the forward (instrument cluster ) side of the handle and it is buriend in a cavity. I use a 3MM (I believe) allen wrench to remove my set screw (E32), but the auto box levers are similar).

nope manual...you think the pin might be hidden under somthing?
