Shifter Led Remains On - Normal?

I have only had my 2005 545i for a couple of weeks. i just noticed after using the car this morning that the LED next to the gear on the auto shifter stays on after you shut the car off (including after locking with the remote - long after the interior lights have gone out). Is this normal? Or am I going to find my battery dead in two days???

Yes that's normal. Mine does the same. Takes about 20 minutes for the car to go into "sleep mode". Leave it and check back in around 30 minutes without unlocking and you'll see it has turned off.
