Self leveling suspension

Hey guys, i want to buy new shocks / springs / wheels, etc... but im trying to figure out ifi have the self leveling system or not.. how can i find out for sure? I dont think i do... but on one of the BMW inspections, it says they "checked self leveling system" Is there anything i can look at to find out for sure??

OK, i also wanted to throw this in

a while back i asked what shocks i should put on my car to get my car to ride like the e39 w/ sport pkg. or as close as possible to that and someone recommended the bilstein HD shocks.

Now i would like to lower my car a bit and i seem to think that for the price and stuff that the bavauto lowering springs would be my best bet. Now if i used those springs would the bilstein HD shocks still get me the closest to the e39 sport pkg ride? Is there a better spring / shock combo to achieve this?

Also... why is it that the e39 with sport package feels smoother?? isnt it supposed to be lots rougher? They seem even smoother than the e39s w/o sport pkg..

Another thing - if i were to change JUST the front shocks and springs, would there even be a noticeable difference in ride quality??
