So I just purchased my 94 530i, I posted some pics of it in an earlier post, and because the battery died my stereo has the work CODE written on it. So I did what the book instrcuted me to do, basically enter the code. It didn't work! The stereo beeped and thats it. So I let the car sit for 2 hours with the radio on the "on" position, entered the code...it didn't work it just beeped and the word code still showed!!!
What is my next step to rectifying this problem???

This happend to me when I got my car. What I did was, I set the date and time on the radio and then I put in the code and it worked for some weird reason. It took me two weeks after I got my car before I figured that out. Hope that solves your problem.

So after you set the date and time did you wait one hour with the radio on???
Alright so I got rid of the stock stereo...it was useless to me. So I put in a Clarion DXZ845MP, all my roommates thought it was the stock system from BMW. It fits perfectly in the old readio slot and it has a BMW look as you can adjust the colour of the screen to match the Beemers interior LEDS and the deck is finished in all black aluminum, very simple looking yet it sophisticated! Now the car looks and sounds amazing...the stock system is excellent! Also this deck can hold up to 6 hours of music in its memory....its NUTS!
