I drive a 1985 535i with 5-speed. I bought it a few years ago from a man in Florida who had left it in the sun too long and the leather had become dry and cracked. Now the front seats look like a disaster. They are down to the padding. I wanted to know if anyone had a set of seats that would fit my car for cheap or had any bright ideas as to what i should do. Any help would be much appriciated.

You might be suprised to find out what an upholstery shop would charge to re-do just the top of the seat and backrest. My ex-boss had an '86 325 drivers side recovered and I dont remember it being too bad.

they are cheap at Autozone or u can get the nice expesive leather kind, or even sheapskin
