In search for two missing relays for my 540ia.Pics
So i converted my 535ia engine, gearbox and wiring harness to 540ia.
But with the harness (2001 mod) two of the relays in the MCU-box is missing. Can anyone tell me what's their purpose or at least give me some part numbers?
Any answers is appreciated, kinda stuck on this one
Without using my TIS...
Have a closer look into those sockets- If there are almost no wires to them then they are optionals which your car does not have, so ignore them...
You should have compared this with the donor car !

Will have a closer look at them, but since i've bought the harness from a car demolition company in Sweeden and got it shipped, it's kinda hard to look at the donor car.
Anyway, got my hands on a bmw manual from the member brettski. Will give it a try!! Thnx
If everything works as it should then I see no probs...
BMW make 99% of their harness' identical by model, it actually saves them money!
So never be surprised when you come across an unused socket!! Great for "retrofits" though!!!
Good luck mate...

Well, the only reason for me to look for the missing relays are cuz i can't get the car to start, but of course ther's a possibility of it beeing something else. Probably easier to run a diagnostic first =)
