Just wanted to share that I had a great visit from M3UOND yesterday. As many of you are aware, M3UOND bought my 540 from me back in September. He stopped by on his way home from a vacation to show me the mods he made to the 540 since i last saw it:
- Dinan front & rear strut tower braces
- Dinan exhaust
- Dinan software update and rev limiter increase
- Xenon headlights with angel eyes
(I'm sure I'm forgetting something)
He let me drive it - man, I forgot how NICE that thing is to drive and how much power is pulsating, straining to get out (even tho I drove it like a granny since it's not my car any more)! Those Dinan strut braces were the ticket to restoring the ďall one pieceĒ feeling. The Dinan exhaust sounded great at parking lot speeds (nice low rumble) and at high-rpm WOT, but at all other speeds it was absolutely as quiet as stock to the driverís ears. Perfect! In fact, I heard him enter my cul-de-sac before I turned my head and actually saw the car!
He's taking great care of the car too - it was difficult to believe he's actually driven it over 16,000 miles since he bought it from me less than 4 months ago!!
Iím glad M3UOND is the one who bought that car because he totally appreciates the car and its best features! Best of all, I enjoyed seeing the 540 again and enjoyed driving it, yet didnít really feel any hard pangs of remorse (life goes on, eh?). M3UOND promised a return trip some time after the next mods go on the car. I can't wait.... B)
