Rotors

Hello again guys,

just wondering which rotors for a 528i sport E39 you found were best in a non expensive kind of way.

Also are the parts for brakes the same in the US as in the UK?

Might source them from the US you see.

Street or track?

Ill give the typical answers For street use, the brembos shine in both power and style. For track use Stoptech is the way to go.

I've had Brembo cross-drilled and slotted rotors since January. I find myself able to stop much more quickly in wet or icy conditions owing to the fact that there's a place for the water and steam to escape to, enabling my pads to grip better. In conditions other than those influenced by water in its three mischievous states, I think the braking response is roughly similar to stock. It has saved my neck a couple of times in the rain, though.

I have the brembo cross drilled rotors/pads. They are ok, not really impressed at all, but they look good.

I ordered some TMS cross drilled with axxis ultimate pads, will let you know how they are doing by monday, I'm getting installed friday, if they get here by then anyway. :P
