Roof Bars

Hi, Does anyone know if Genuine BMW E46 Touring roof bars and cycle rack will fit my 2001 5 series touring (it has factory roof rails fitted) okay? used

For future reference it's called a roof rack.

I DOUBT it will fit, because the e46 and e39 both have different widths in general.

No I am refering to roofs bars not the roof rack, picture attached (if I have worked the technology ok) Anyway u r probably correct about not fitting as I can't be sure if the feet adjust or not. Thanks for welcome & reply

Are you talking about the cross bars that go across the roof rack?

Maybe it is different terminology in UK than USA. Over here roof rails go from front to back. Roof bars go from side to side. Roof racks fit on to roof bars. My query is would roof bars that fit a 3 series tourer, also fit a 5 series tourer? I now have some measurements and it appears they will fit although there will be very little overhang, if any. Steve
