I have a 2000 528I (manual). When shifting gears and accelerating the RPMs rise between 2500 and 4000 RPMs but the car does not accelerate. Once the RPMs reach 4000 the car then accelerates. I think it's a slipping clutch. Has this happened to anyone out there?
SORRY ABOUT THE TTTT,STICKY KEYBOARD,IT IS EASY TO CHECK A SLIPPING CLUTCH,IF POSSIBLE HOOK UP A TRAILER OR CARAVAN AND CHECK IF THIS STILL REMAIN,THE EXTRA LOAD WILL PUT ADDITIONAL STRESS ON THE CLUTCH.
