hello, im having difficulty with this so please help if you can.
i have a 2007 520d m sport, its been serviced but NOT by bmw (to expensive and i am a bit tight!!) the guys cant reset the service indicator, does anybody have any idea how this can be achived.
Unfortunately, it's slightly different to reset service indicator on later model cars .
First press "on" button twice to turn on ignition. (you don't have to start engine)
Keep you eyes on the cluster, at first you've got most of the lights on, wait for a few seconds and you should see some of them gone off.
After this, press and hold the little button on the cluster itself. Then you should see a triangle with ABS written on it come up. Don't let go, keep pressing the button.
After a few more seconds, you should see the service indicator come up.
Then you can let go of the button now. And now you're in the reset menu.
By pressing the same button once, you will circle through different area of services.
When you go to the require one, press and HOLD the same button, after a few seconds, you will see RESET come up. When it came up, let go of the button, press and hold again. And this will reset it.
