So I contacted BMW of Seattle and the service dapartment told me that shorting pins can be very dangerous and they made it sound as though resetting inspection/service lights is more complicated than just shorting a pin to GND. Maybe it does reset the lights but does it do something undesirable as well without knowing right away??
Has anybody actually done this, and is it worth the risk?
p.s. is there a diagram/schematic/picture that anyone could possibly attach?
