Reset computer

Hi All ,

Can someone please help with a few questions i have for my 520d M-sport 06

1, If i fit a K&N air filter, will this trigger off the computer by opening the air box at all & will the computer reconise a K&N & not keep setting the computer off ?

2, My Micro filter needs changing, If i was to change it myself will the car have to go to a dealer to have the computer reset or is there something i can do myself ?

I don't know about your model, I have a 97 528i, and I replaced it with the K&N,
and I have never had a problem!

No issues, just dont take off some other hoses, and plugs.

Hello there, I did a oil change and changed and cleaned the brake fluid system myself ,can someone tell me how to reset te computer or do i have togo to the garage . my car ia 520d 2007 ??

You would likely need a reset tool to do that yourself.

try set the odometer to 0 .0000 then turn the egnition on (do not turn the car on) just the lights on..press and hold the same button u reset the odometer for5 to 10 second then warning light comes on...pres secon time and iol light comes on hold and reste..repet the same steps for micro filter brake liquid etc...hop help
