Replace Car Speakers!

Hello Again Guys...

I own E39 528i 1996 after all those years of hardworking, Most of the speakers not working or make bad noise and the sound is not even enjoyable... I don't listen to any thing more than engine noise because it's more enjoyable than the songs that radio output!

so i want to know what is the Recommend Speakers Type and Size to change the whole car speakers ? and will i need to add an AMP ? i want to keep the OEM head unit! it still got tape but I'm going to get MP3 CD Changer so it will be like today cars sound systems i want it strong and clear !

I think it's 2 speakers at back shelf. 2 rear doors , 2 front doors , 2 front tweeters ?

Anything new with poly made speakers will blow the doors off our old paper speakers. If you are just replacing the speakers, not need to buy an amp or run new wire (it's a nightmare) I am doing mine as I have to replace a bad window regulator and the door panel will be off anyhow. The speaker baffles make for a good sound with even a low end Sony. I personally have grown to like the Polk Audio. Great sound, fair price for car speakers in the sizes you need. This tread is like a month old, what did you end up doing?
