Rear Subframe Bushes

Help my rear subframe Bushes are in desperate need of replacing.
Garages want the earth to change them and looking on the internet they dont seem that hard to do myself apart from the tool you need.
Well looked into getting one and they wan't £250 just for the tool.
Does anyone know another way without having to use the tool?????

if its anything like changing the subframe bushings on a e30, and it probably is, you need to be creative in order to get the old bushings off, either by torching it or cutting away at it with some sort of rotary tool or drill. or you could try renting the proper tool.

Dont suppose you know of people who rent the tool in the uk???
