I have a 1998 528i, and the right rear passenger window won't completely close. When I press the button to open or close it I can hear the motor running but it just makes a cluh-clunk sound with no movement. Any suggestions?

I suggest(if your mechanically inclined) you get a Bentley Manual and slowly pull the door panel off to investigate.....it might need a minor adjustment. I had to adjust my power windows on my 3series(I do own a 5).........Good Luck.

there really isn't much adjusting those regulators. more than likely your regulator is broke. which you could either do yourself or take the car somewhere and have it done.
