hitz is an unknown quantity at this point
hello all.
i hope someone can help me. ive just purchased some led lights for my e39 1997 525tdse. the lights look the business but they dont work. the cluster shows lights out and the led's flicker and the brake light stays on.
does the ec unit need programming or are the lights faulty.
please advice.

are you sure you plugged the wires in correct places ? the ECU does NOT need reprogramming... it's plug and play.

Send a message via AIM to Slvr e39
I had problems when I installed mine, my dumb mistake was not reading the label on the wires coming from the relays, THERE IS A RIGHT AND A LEFT WIRE

Not sure if that is the problem but that was my problem and I did have the same symptoms as you
