Rattle From Below... - BMW Forum

This is probibly just an exhaust rattle, but it seems like its in the suspension. Its a 97 528i and has all new struts, the suspension is tight all around, and rides great. You cant feel or hear it in the car when the windows are up. Any ideas/common problems for this car?

Any help is appreciated.

sounds like an exhasut rattle to me. most of the time if it is anything to do with the suspension you can feel it in the steering wheel. probablly just the cats. rattling. any check engine light yet?

Put her up on the lift (while I was mounting the 19"745il chrome rims that look perfect) and the two heat shields over the cats were loose. Ripped them off, and no more rattle.
