Radio & Vanity Lights Out ('98 528)

Help!
My radio display keeps disappearing (clock display stays on ). Fuses
seem ok. Also vanity lights not working...but get this, when I slide vanity
mirror covers back the steering wheel moves back and forth!
Any ideas?!

Mark, I have a 1999 528, I had a similar problem. The vanity lite would turn the radio off and the wheel would adjust. I had a bunch of other problems with warning lights. It turned out to be the ignition switch. A $45.00 part with 2hours labor at an independent BMW shop. Joe

You're right similar problem was solved over the forum not too long ago; it turned out to be the ignition switch also.
