What is the proper screw type and size to remove the radio?
I just purchased a Bentley for my '92 525im that I got in January and went right to it to find out. Big disappointment...no mention of type and size.
Can anyone help?

Its actually not a hex key but a special 5-sided BMW tool. Here is a link to an ebay auction for one so you can see a pic of what it looks like.

Thanks.
I'll buy the BMW one. I think I might have started to strip them using a hex key and flat blade screwdriver.

Its actually a Torx 8. Just go to your local hardware store and fins a set. You should be able to get a complete set of drivers for the same price as a single BMW branded one

My 98 E39 radio has Torx 10 screw and you need to pry the left side after turning the screw left ~90 degrees
