i have a car which a friend wanted me to sort him out a stereo for.


its a 1998 5 series alpina with a V8 (not sure of the capacity).

the aerial is supplying no signal to the stereo though...


where is the aerial and any ideas as to fix it?

i couldn't even find a fuse box?


please help :wink

They should be on the top of the rear windshield with the defroster lines.

There's also 3 of them - the steroeo constantly checks all 3 and uses the one with the best reception - if the car has had a new rear screen at sometime the glass fitter can bugger up the aerials/connection (so I'm told)

how would you go about trying to fix it?


there is no reception with it plugged in
