Radiator Fan Is Always On

I Have A 1998 528i And The Fan Is Always On And Its Annoying Does Anyone Know Wat Can Be The Problem?

Yea.... a temp sensor... or the fan relay is bad... take it to a shop if you are unable to find the problem...

If you have the bentely manual... there are procedures to test such things.

It is most likely your fan resistor, final stage. If it keeps running intermittently even after you turn the engine off, drain your battery, and seems to have a mind of its own, look for a new Final Stage Unit (i.e. blower motor resistor).

It should be about $75 online. Check autopartswarehouse.com or bmw-parts-direct.com

Try anyone of the following:

Look up the temperature sensor if you have one.
Check the fan control for any fault
Check your resistor block for the blower motor.

You may need to change any of the following or have it fixed. A firend had the same problem once with his Mercury. It ended up with him replacing his switch.
