Hello everybody. I recently changed my aftermarket radio-cd to bmw business cd plus mid. My car is a 1998 BMW 520i E39. The business-cd is not the one with the round pins but the newer one, i used the appropriate adapters to fit everything. Everything works ok, but i have some questions to ask.
When i press the steering wheel buttons to change to a radio station it doesn't go to the radio station but it searches to the already stored radio stations in memory. If i press the "m" button then it goes manually search from frequency to frequency. How can i have manually search permanently on? When i close the radio if "forgets" that i had already press "m" in previous usage.
Something else i noticed today. When the radio or the cd is on when i switch the key to the 0 position of the starter, then as usual the radio closes. But i accidentally pressed the volume knob (which is on/off button also) and the radio started playing, although the key was in "0" position. Is this normal, or is it matter of CAN/Bus programming?. Does this behavior appear in anyone of you that has the MID installed?
Since the units i bought were second hand i don't have a user's manual. Where can i find one please? English if possible.
That's all i wanted to ask. Thank you very much in advance, i am waiting for your answers
