Hi all, I've just purchased a slightly used 525i touring with a manual transmission. I'm enjoying the car very much, its my first BMW. The handling is great (though a little soft) but I need more torque! Is there anything you can recommend in terms of upgrades?

Any recommendations on which one and where to get the chip (I'm in Southern Cal)? What will the chip do? I was thinking of a performance camshaft (if there is such a thing).

Try either the Shark injector (Jim Confortti software) or Dinan. I think Dinan makes software that will also reprogram shifts if you have an automatic. Their stuff is expensive but Dinan is the only stuff that won't void your factory warranty.

I've been looking at exhaust and intake as well but can't seem to find any. I'll drop by Dinan the next time in San Jose.

Thanks. I'm more a wagon person than a SUV person. I can pretty much throw anything in it and it just swallows it up! Plus the fuel economy is pretty awesome, I'm getting 27mpg mixed driving!
