I have a 1997 528i; it is 75000 mile now. I bought it from a dealer 11 months ago.
These days when I am driving the noise is too huge. I got a check and the auto repair told me that the front wheel bearing is worn out and need to be replaced. I am wondering whether it is common that the bearing can be worn out like this? Does anyone have the same experience like me? Is it possilbe that the dealer just cheated me and there was already something wrong with my car before I bought it?
Thanks!
If the autoshop said the wheelbearing was buggered,I would have asked him to change it while I waited as they are only a few dollars. I guess it all comes down to wear and tear.
Hope you get it sorted.
All the best.
