Putting an Ipod into a new E60 Feb 2006 - BMW Forum

Just in process of ordering a 520D SE and want to put an Ipod 30Gb Video into it with as much control as possible from the steering wheel or the idrive.

I can see series 1,3,X3 and X5 are all catered for from BMW.
Talked to BMW Customer services yesterday without any joy.

Best I can see at present is from Kensington (FM transmitter powered from behind armrest with Ipod hidden in armrest £40) or Denison plugged into the CD changer socket and a blackbox £lots)

Neither seem a perfect solution!

Anybody got a better idea, or info as to when BMW will include E60 into the Ipod club?

Same goes for bluetooth phone kit without paying BMW large portions of money that we additional pay tax on!
