Hi, I've just noticed that the purge valve on my '91 525i has no vacuum line connected to it! The other line that goes to the charcoal canister is present. In the manual, it states that the vacuum line runs to the intake manifold, but I can't seem to find any disconnected hose or open spigot on the manifold. If somebody has a similiar model, could you tell me where yours is? Maybe the purge valve isn't supposed to be connected to a vacuum? @#$!!?
I have 95 525i (E34, auto) , which is similar to yours. purge valve is right next to reserve container. If you stand in front of your car, extreme right of the radiator is reserve container and to the left there is big screw (size of dime). That is the purge valve. I have just changed my radiator. Hope this helps
