| well, i found out today that the reason for my electricity loss isn't because of a bad alternator or anything it was because the alternator was cutting the positive battery cable running over it. i wanted to see, i found out about the cut in it because it touched the alternator and sparked really badly, i taped it up with electrical tape to try to make it down the street to my house. BUT! not the starter isn't working, is this because of that spark? is there a fuse for the starter that isn't in the fuse box? i checked all the fuses in the fuse box and they were all fine, please lemme know if its a fuse? or if i am going to need a new alternator? im replacing the cable tomorrow to see what happens, just lemme know. THANKS!
I drive a 1985 BMW 528e
