I recently bought a Hartge chip for my 1990 e34 520i. The thing is, after installing the chip the car is superb and all, but as long as I don't use the lights. Once I switch on the lights the engine will just die.
I am so clueless as to what may cause this. Anyone encountered this problem before? Please help!
May be coincidence. How dead is your battery? Maybe even check your alternator. If the alt. is shot or the battery is THAT low.... high drain electronics will rob enough from your electrical system to stall the car.
How is it when the radio is on and interior lights, etc and then you press the brake pedal? does it stumble at all?
