Power Windows, Sun Roof, & Door Locks - BMW Forum

I have a 535i (E34?), and have had some serious electrical problems. I replaced the fusable link, and now my radio, wipers, and power seats work. My Power window, sun roof, and door locka still do not work. Any ideas???

why did you replace the fusible link?

I spoke to the BMW dealersip, and they suggested that I start there. It was cracked/blown.

Not sure exactly about your car ( im still learning about bimmers my self ) but there are usually more than one fuseable links in the eletrical system.

Just a thought.

I putchased an electrical manual yesterday to see how the systems tie-in together. Thanks for you input!

Obviously there is a reason the fusible link blew. It could be because of many things from shorted wires or even a faulty control unit. I would advise breaking out your manual and a digital volt-ohm meter and get to troubleshooting.
