Power seat is crooked.

What's the best way to fix a power seat that's moving crooked? The side of the seat that's closest to the door in my '93 525i seems to move forward a lot faster than the other side so it makes the whole seat sit crooked. Im not sure it could be unrelated but the power recline portion of the seat doesnt work at all. You can definitely hear the motor for sure buzzing away, buthe seat doesnt recline at all. please help.

It was crazy because when I picked it up it looked like somebody had just leaned the seat back and made it crooked to look like a hard ass, lol By performing this though is there any hope of fixing the reclining part of the seat too? I only ask because I can hear the motor just get no movement when I try to move the seatback in the upright position.

One last thing though, the article at the end mentions fixing the "head rest" ? is he referring to the seat back recline motor? Or is there a motor for the headrest?

cool deal. well first thing's first. Here is a pic of the very first thing I came across after unbolting the seat. Anybody know what Im looking at? It was attached to nothing and it looks like it's supposed to do something.

Alrighty, the job's done, but it wasnt pretty and the walkthrough was only about 50% helpful. The seat moves forward and backward correctly now, but seat back is still slightly crooked. Dont know what to do about that.

what you can do about the crooked thing it tak one sides cable out and move the seat till it is even. Then put the cable back in.
