what are possible reasons for slight power loss on an engine that is otherwise in perfect condition. The car is a 1994 525ia.

clutch slipping, fuel filter, air filter, knock sensors on their way out (automatically retards timing), what ski said (plugs)

how many miles are on the car? The cat. converters are a good possibility, i've seen it a million times. Especially by 100k miles
