I just got a 2004 545i and the manual indicated that the factory cd player will play MP3 discs. I have tried several times with several types of ripping software and can not get the player to respond to the disc. It does not spit out the disc, it just doesn't do anything. Does anyone out there have any idea how to make this work? ghead
If you look closely at that section of the manual, there should be a little fine print that says MP3 playback is not yet working. Hopefully a firmware upgrade soon will fix that.
