Solved number of problems recently on my 530-2002 but the following problems are still pending & I am looking for further help on them.
1. I am using Mobil 2000 engine Oil that lasts for 20,000 KM, but every time I change, I found the Oil level less by around one Liter .. is that normal or not?
2. There is a noise like a litle Bird in the engine compartment!! changed all belts but the noise is still there!! I failed to know the reason for that noise.

I got that same bird chirping sound over behind the passenger side dash! It doesn't stop when I shut off the climate control system fan; can't find it- sometimes drives me crazy. The car has no rattles or squeaks, but does chirp, but not all the time, eeeeck.

Any help on the above two issues?
Changing oil at 20KM interval is crazy, you should change your oil more often, oil is cheaper than engine. But anyways, the amount of oil lost you have is perfectly normal. Please change your oil at 7.5KM not 20KM.
As for the chirping sound. does the chirping go away if the engine is OFF?

well yes, it does for me, so I guess it is not a real bird

1. The BMW dealer was changing oil for my BMW every 20K & I am now using the same oil for the same milage, which is also as per the oil change intervals shown by the system!

1: The oil consumtion is perfectly normal , Most M54 motor consumes mutch more oil than yours , the oil that you use is no longlife oil som also I rekommend that you change a little more often(round 15000km). The oil you should use is a Bmw LL01 approved oil in your car and with that you can change when your service meter tells you to change.
2: It maybe a worn beltwheel or bearing in the alternator , its hard to say.
Don't wait for the service indicator to tell you to change your oil! Change your oil with synthetic every 6000 mi or 10000 km, or at least every six months regardless of miles/km.
The service indicator intervals are designed to make the car last through the warranty period. To give your engine a long life, you ought to take better care of it than BMW suggests.

Why change an oil that there is nothing wrong with? If your oil only stay good for 6 months or 10000km you have bought something very cheap! Think about the enviroment! I have never heard about a modern car that have failed because of the owner have changed the oil by the service plan , have you?
