I have a 99 Dark Metallic blue car and dont know where the paint code is.

any ideas on names or where the paint codes are?

LOS is an unknown quantity at this point
Call the service dept at any BMW dealer and supply the VIN number. They should be able to give you this info. Tell them you're looking for touch-up paint. That's what I did.... the manual doesn't have this info!

There should be a paint code plaque in the engine compartment...usually on the drivers side shock tower. it will tell anything you need to know.
